Personal Transformation & Development Coach. Aspiring International Speaker

This has been my motto for the past two weeks. The This has been my motto for the past two weeks. The doors to my fitness studio closed and panic set in. So much panic in fact that I experienced the worst panic attack of my life. I honestly thought I was having a heart attack. Thankfully my nurse daughter-in-law helped me to identify it was not a heart attack and just a panic attack.

JUST a panic attack. I haven't had a panic attack in forever. I have never had one that was as bad as this last one. It was terrifying.

But in that moment I realized that this wasn't just my business on the line, it was my health. My well-being. My pride. My joy. My everything.
So my daily motto has become, "Adapt. Innovate. Overcome. Figure it out. Find a solution." Those first few days of closure I was stuck in "worst case scenario" mode for sure! I was convinced I would lose everything I spent the last 8 years building. That I would go bankrupt. That we would have to sell our house.....all the negative things....they were so present.

Then it was this shift into, "I am not going to lay down and die. I will figure this out. I will find a solution." So I started thinking, planning, creating. My Team and I were able to pivot hard and get an extraordinary product available for our clients.

We didn't retain them all, but we retained a lot. That feels good!

We are not able to be together inside our building, but thanks to technology we can still be united!

Adapt. Innovate. Overcome.

So why do I share this personal story with you? Because I know a lot of you are in the same boat right now. Almost everyone is in fight or flight mode. Heck, some hours it is fight, then next few hours if is flight.

Know that you are NOT alone! You are not the only one going through massive change. You are not the only one going through the stages of grief. Everyone is feeling something. ALL of our lives have changed. ALL OF US.

So it important to talk with others. It is important to share with others. It is important to reach out to others. Now more then ever.

Things are different. No doubt about that. But how you adapt to this change will make a massive difference in how you weather this storm.
FEAR LESS. HOPE MORE. I know, I know.....that is FEAR LESS. HOPE MORE.

I know, I know.....that is hard right now. But it is not impossible!

It is like anything, you just have to practice it. Daily. Hourly even.

When you start to feel fear, do your best to replace it with HOPE.

I had a tough day yesterday. Just sort of felt numb inside. Today, looking back on yesterday, I know it was because the fear was in control.

So today, I committed to FEAR LESS & HOPE MORE. What a change in my mood, my movement, my thoughts.

Yesterday I did not do too much, the fear was paralyzing I think. Today, I have taken leaps and bounds forwards in the things that I can control. Today I am planning for the future. What it will look like, I have no idea. But I need to be doing something productive, because doing nothing will end with being left with nothing.

So when fear is taking over your thoughts, think about HOPE. What do you HOPE life looks like after this? What can you do today that will help make that HOPE reality in a few weeks, months, a year?
It is not time to lay down and wallow. It is time to rise my friends.

THE THOUGHTS WE CHOOSE TO THINK ARE THE TOOLS WE U THE THOUGHTS WE CHOOSE TO THINK ARE THE TOOLS WE USE TO PAINT THE CANVAS OF OUR LIVES.

This morning while writing out my gratitude list, I realized how blessed I am that I have so many positive people in my life!

Almost everyone in my close circle believes that we are going to come out of this crisis stronger. They can find the silver linings in the darkness.
But the story in my social media feed is much different. I have acquaintances that I have met from all over the world. Many of them are spiraling into the abyss of lost hopes, dreams and opportunity.

So today, I felt it was important to share this quote.

Your thoughts are going to manifest your reality. Your thoughts are going to shape your future.

You need to keep your hopes, dreams and opportunity for future at the forefront of your mind. What do you WANT to achieve? What do you WANT to see come of this? How will you bounce back? What are you willing to do to make that happen?

What can you be doing NOW that will improve your life? Today.
What can you do tomorrow to improve your life? Tomorrow.

What can you be doing and focusing on to ensure your life eventually looks the way you want it to be? The way you choose it to be?

Every time the doom and gloom start to loom in your head, you need to vanquish it as quickly as possible. You need to replace those negative thoughts with positive thoughts, with gratitude, with love, with hope.
Your future is going to be the sum of everything you are doing now.

Many hours spent just wandering. Many hours spent just wandering.
THE BEST THINGS IN LIFE ARE NOT THINGS. This morn THE BEST THINGS IN LIFE ARE NOT THINGS.

This morning as I am sitting reflecting on the issues in my personal life and in my business, I have come to realize it is not the things that matter most. It is the people.

I own @readinessfitness and like all small business owners, I am trying to navigate through how we will bounce back from these closures.

I began to cry when I realized it is not the building I am worried about or all of the things inside of it. That does not really matter. What matters is the people. My incredible staff and my amazing clients.

Those four walls are NOTHING without the remarkable people that fill those four walls.
Life-long friendships have been created within those walls. New bodies have been created within those walls. New mental and emotional strength have been fortified within those walls. That is what matters most!
So today, don't worry about the THINGS in your life. Think about what is even more important than the THINGS.

What are truly the VERY BEST things in your life...I bet they are not things....they are people. <3
Focus on the people in your life.

CREATE SOCIAL CONNECTION Right now what we need i CREATE SOCIAL CONNECTION

Right now what we need is "physical distancing." More then ever, we need to ensure we still have "social connection." Majority of us are self-isolating right now. This can cause all kinds of negative emotions and thoughts, especially if your world is full of the doom and gloom of media.

So it extremely important that we are staying CONNECTED with the people that matter most to us. Our family, our friends, our co-workers, our teammates, etc.

Thankfully we live in a world of amazing technology. (I can't imagine this happening even 20 years ago). I would like to challenge you to reach out to at least FIVE people every day. By text, phone call (remember how to do that?), Facebook messenger, Facetime, video, Zoom, etc.
Lastnight my team and I had "Drinks Online at Nine" through Zoom and it was wonderful to see everyone, hear everyone, share with each other and have some good laughs. My heart was so full after and laughter is such good medicine!

So what can you do to create and maintain some social connection? Share your ideas in the comments below as it may insprie someone else to do the same.
P.S. I am not going to include the DAY # anymore on these posts, as it just felt like this was taking forever and who knows what day we would get up to.
